Belfry & Carillon

Your guide accompanies you step by step in the discovery of this authentic 14th and 15th century belfry. The route reveals the history of the city and reveals all the belfries in France and Belgium listed as World Heritage Sites. Audiovisual, scenographic and interactive devices immerse you in the visual and sound atmospheres of Douai in the Middle Ages. The visit includes the discovery of one of the largest carillons in Europe as well as a breathtaking view of the City of Giants. The +: go back in time by donning the clothes of city aldermen or lady-in-waiting from the Middle Ages. A new way to visit this magnificent monument of Douai thanks to a panoply of medieval costumes that will delight young and old. Every day at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (except Monday morning). Additional slot at 11 a.m. on weekends, public holidays and during school holidays.
