It was on a former industrial site that Henri Gaudin constructed a building of curves and counter-curves. At the entrance to Douai, the building displays its lyrical forms and its copper roof, while along the river the building’s lines are restful and the walls are covered with stapled stone. The site can accommodate up to 2,000 students. Douai’s Alexis de Tocqueville Law School is named after the 19th century French philosopher and politician.
