With a collection of more than 1,500 objects, the Arkéos Archaeological Museum-Park bears witness to the dynamism of archaeological research in the region. The presentation of films, models, the presence of multimedia terminals and tactile elements offer a playful and interactive discovery of the collections suitable for all audiences. Accessible from the museum by the footbridge spanning the Scarpe, the archaeological park is entirely devoted to the Middle Ages. The Portus, reconstructed as it was then, houses ancient buildings based on traces and remains discovered during archaeological excavations. Outside this same portus, the tavern and the feudal mound will gradually emerge from the ground.
