Description
Deep within the Earth's crust, hundreds of meters or even kilometers below the surface, where there is no air, no light, and very little water, scientists have discovered a vast diversity of microorganisms that thrive in extreme conditions. They are found in fractures and pores within solid rocks. The hidden biosphere challenges everything we thought we knew and forces us to rethink not only the origin and evolution of life on Earth, but also its possible existence throughout the Universe. Suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under 15 are not permitted in the facility unless accompanied by an adult. Children under 3 are not permitted in the Planetarium shows. The film is also available in English and Spanish; please contact the Planetarium reception desk for details.
