Sunday morning, calm reigns in one of the large free car parks of the Gayant Expo. The muted facades of the Exhibition Centre give no indication of the hustle and bustle inside. And yet, prepare to enter a world of its own, as soon as you pass through the big doors. 5,000m², 100-150 antique and second-hand dealers. A veritable Aladdin’s cave opens up before your astonished eyes. You are sure to find what you are looking for, whether you are an experienced collector, a lover of design objects or a ‘bargain hunter’, as we say back home.
A playground of 5,000m² for any flea market lover
Change at will
Objects and tables as far as the eye can see in a profusion of colours and materials, the brocanteurs happily chatting to each other while negotiations between visitors and antique dealers takes place all around. In one aisle, large stamp albums display their colourful pages. Close by, a tempting Chesterfield armchair stretches out its arms in welcome. Are you looking for nostalgia? Then a crate of vintage toys should make you very happy.
And if by misfortune you don’t find that rare pearl, don’t be disappointed because you can still leave with another little treasure from the North… a frite-mayo… and try your luck again next month!
